About

About WallRush

WallRush is a free strategy game for two. You race a pawn across a 9×9 board and place walls to slow your rival. It runs in your browser, so you can start in a click.

What we are making

A game you can explain in a minute and still be thinking about the next day.

The idea is old and simple: a race with walls. WallRush gives it a home on the web, with four computer levels for practice, private rooms for playing a friend, and a leaderboard for anyone who wants to climb it.

What you can do on WallRush

What we stand for

  • Free, with no adsEvery mode is free, and there are no ads in the game. You don’t need an account to play.
  • Fair to everyoneThe computer follows the same rules you do. Nothing in the game is hidden from either player.
  • Works where you areIt runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and you can play it with a mouse, by touch or from the keyboard. Our accessibility page says what we have and haven’t tested.
  • Respects your dataWe collect what we need to run the game, and we say exactly what that is in our privacy policy.

How it works

One game engine runs the board, the rules and the computer, on the website and in the Chrome extension.

That means a rule is the same wherever you play, and a result means the same thing. We describe how each computer level thinks on the Vs computer page, and every diagram in our strategy guides is measured by the same engine.
