Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and the WallRush team (“WallRush”, “we”, “us”), for your use of wallrush.io, the WallRush apps and the WallRush browser extensions (the “Service”). By playing or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Community Guidelines are part of these terms.
1. Who can play
- Anyone can play as a guest.
- To create an account you must be at least 13. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
- You can’t use the Service if we’ve banned you, or if the law where you live forbids it.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us at support@wallrush.io if you think someone else has used your account.
- One person per account, and one account per person for ranked play. Accounts can’t be sold, traded or shared.
- Player names and pictures must follow the Community Guidelines. We can change a name or remove a picture that doesn’t.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings or at wallrush.io/account/delete/.
3. The game is free
WallRush is free to play. We don’t show ads at the time of writing. If we ever offer paid features, they’ll come with clear prices and their own terms, and you’ll never be charged without agreeing first.
Ratings, leaderboard places, streaks and other in-game records have no money value, aren’t your property, and may be adjusted, reset or removed, for example when we fix cheating or start a new season.
In quick match, WallRush looks for another player who is searching at that moment. If nobody is, you play a computer opponent instead, which may have a made-up player name. In a four-player quick match, any seat nobody takes is played by the computer in the same way. Quick match is the ranked game: when you are signed in, its result can change your rating, whether your opponent is a person or that computer, under the rules on the Leaderboard page (for example, a minimum game length and limits on how often the same opponent can count). Practice games against the computer, games with friends and games on one device are for fun and never change a rating.
4. Fair play
You agree not to:
- cheat, including using engines, bots, scripts or another person’s help during ranked games;
- exploit bugs, or keep using one after you notice it (please report it instead);
- manipulate ratings, for example by losing on purpose, playing against your own second account, or arranging results;
- leave or stall games on purpose to annoy others;
- impersonate WallRush staff or another player.
We may watch games for signs of cheating, and we may remove results, reset ratings, or suspend or ban accounts that break these rules.
5. Reviews and other content you post
“Your content” means anything you put on the Service: player names, profile pictures and reviews.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and share it as needed to run and promote the Service, for as long as it stays on the Service (and for a short time afterwards in backups).
- You’re responsible for your content, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
- We may review, hide or remove content that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, and we act on reports from players.
- Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. Don’t post reviews for something you didn’t use, reviews written for someone else, or reviews in exchange for anything. We never remove a review just because it’s negative.
6. Things you must not do
You must not:
- break the law, or use the Service to harm, harass or threaten anyone;
- access accounts, data or systems that aren’t yours, or try to get around security, rate limits or blocks;
- interfere with the Service, overload it, or spread malware;
- use bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated tools to access, copy or collect data from the Service. Search engines that follow our robots.txt file are allowed;
- copy, reproduce or imitate the Service’s design, text, graphics, code or features, including by giving our pages to an AI system and asking it to recreate them;
- use any part of the Service, including its content, game records or code, to train, fine-tune or build artificial-intelligence models or products, unless we’ve agreed in writing;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or modify our apps or code, except where the law gives you that right;
- create accounts by automated means, or sell, rent or transfer access to the Service.
7. Our content and trademarks
The Service, including the WallRush name and logo, the design, graphics, text, the AI and the code, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial play. Sharing your own screenshots of your games is welcome.
WallRush is a Quoridor-style game. Quoridor is a trademark of Gigamic. WallRush isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Gigamic.
If you think something on the Service infringes your copyright, see our Copyright Policy.
8. Apps, stores and other services
- App stores. If you download a WallRush app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store’s own terms also apply. For the iOS app: these terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; Apple isn’t responsible for claims about the app (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual-property claims); and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any.
- Links. The Service may link to other websites and communities (for example our subreddit). We’re not responsible for them.
9. Feedback and ideas
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without paying you or giving you credit.
10. Changes, availability and new features
The Service is provided “as available”. We may change, add or remove features, run features marked “beta”, or stop the Service. If we make a change that significantly affects you, we’ll try to give you notice. We may update these terms; if a change is significant, we’ll tell signed-in players before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts, or remove access, if you break these terms, if we must for legal reasons, or to protect players or the Service. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you why and give you a way to appeal at support@wallrush.io. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that it will be free of bugs. Games, ratings and AI difficulty can change over time.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract, including the statutory rights of consumers in the EU and UK.
13. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, ratings or in-game progress. Because the Service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited as far as the law allows. These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Indemnity
If you’re using the Service for business purposes, or if the law where you live allows it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims caused by your breach of these terms or by content you post.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where WallRush is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in your local courts. Before any formal claim, please contact us at support@wallrush.io so we can try to fix the problem.
16. General
If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to. You can’t transfer these terms without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a reorganisation or sale. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
