The game starts the moment they join.
Play online in a private room
A room is a private game for two, or for up to four in a four-player game. It takes three steps.
- Create the roomPress Create a room. You get a six-character code and a link to send.
- Share itSend the link, read out the code, or show the QR code so your friend can scan it. Anyone who has the link or code can join, so share it only with the person you want to play. The room waits three minutes for them.
- PlayWhen your friend joins, the game starts. You each play on your own screen and every move shows up on both. In a four-player room, you press Start game when everyone is in, and computers take any empty seats.

Questions about playing with friends
Do we both need an account?
No. You can create a room and join one without signing up. If you do sign in, you can keep a friends list and challenge people again.
Who plays amber, and who goes first?
The person who creates the room plays amber, and the friend who joins plays teal. A coin toss decides who moves first.
Can other people join my room?
Anyone who has your link or code can join, so share it only with the person you want to play. Once your friend joins, the room is full. A four-player room is full with four people.
What if I refresh the page during a game?
You have 30 seconds to come back. After that, the game counts as a forfeit.
My friend can’t join. What now?
Check that the code is six characters (numbers 0–9 and letters A–F) or that the whole link was copied. If the room has expired, create a new one: a room waits three minutes for a second player.
Can we play on the same phone instead?
Yes. Choose one device and pass it back and forth after each turn. Amber starts at the bottom, teal at the top.
Is it free?
Yes. Rooms, links and one-device games are free, and there are no ads.
